After successfully performing for Lenovo at IFA in Berlin, our robot act got immediately booked again. This time, we flew to Spain to the GSMA Mobile World Congress (short MWC), the biggest and most important trade fair for the mobile industry with 2200 exhibitors and more than 100.000 visitors. At the booth of Lenovo, our MENSCHINE robots promoted the Lenovo Apps – mobile software solutions for smartphones and tablets – and became an attraction, be it on stage, among the visitors or in social networks.
As soon as we appeared, we were surrounded by people and cameras, and so we could playfully draw the attention to our client’s products. Countless photos, animated GIFs and videos of us appeared everywhere online, on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. They talked about the Lenovo Robots.

Here is a 360° video from the Lenovo booth at MWC featuring the MENSCHINE robots. In case you just see a distorted video, simply click on the video title in the top left corner. You should then be brought to the YouTube app to see the video in its 360° glory. Enjoy!
It’s important to note that it is not just the audience who is having a lot of fun. The joy is on both sides. We love to improvise, to stroll around and mingle with people, to engage in site-specific actions, to deal with ever-changing situations. Each single walkabout set is different, each spectator reacts differently. That makes it very special for us as well, and also highly entertaining. A true win-win situation.
Many thanks at this point to Alexis Giron and Connie Chege-Bryant from Levono for another wonderful enquiry. And thanks to Rui Figueira for the beautiful photos.
